Ed said it was finished up. I will see if he has any pictures. He said it turned out good. In same paint scheme it was in. First paint job lasted about 20 years.

It hasn't been put on the P-40 yet, just seen it yesterday @ Burnet.

I went but left right when the A-10 went up. It was pretty much over by then anyways. I'll post some photos shortly, the weather wasn't the greatest for photography :(

Was the SB2C simply given fresh paint, or did they change the unit markings (either is fine with me..just curious.)

Ol' 927 was doing a training and a paid ride on Saturday out of Addison when you saw her. I suspect the strip at Burnet would have been pushing it for her to get up and down safely.

Helldiver: New paint, same markings!
"Ol' 927": Yep, I was on that early morning training flight for Saturday. When we were coming back from Redbird, we passed over Love Field and saw "909" taxiing back in, and the B-24 on the ramp. On the rides flight, I was told that both B-24's were in the air at the same time and had eyeballs on each other! Hey Chuck, sorry about not calling..... I will take care of that! Alan

I've been wondering about the two B-24's together for the last week. To be so close and not come together, oh well.

The other day I was watching a news clip on the CF, in which it was stated that they have the only flying B-24 in the world. But when they did a clip of images, there was an image of Ol' 927 in flight!

Gotta love the media

If they are both flying at the "Same Time" that means someone is FIBBING.....or does it depend on just what the definition of "Flying" is? That would be really cool to get the two of them together in formation, get some fighter cover....great photo ops!
