Since people seem to think that the off-topic section is for political discussion, something that is frowned upon, I have temporarily closed the section. ANY political discussions in any other forum will be deleted and the user suspended. I have had it with the politically motivated comments.

Not a cloud in the sky this afternoon...just earth....and it smells like a camp fire...lovely.

Heck, they forecasted "blowing dust" today......it was more like "blowing acreage!"

Man, it was definitely something flying back from Austin this afternoon. The much gustier than predicted winds didn't help matters either. Ended up having to go to Midway because Grand Prairie had too much Low Level Windshear from the buildings on the west side of the field. Definitely a new experience for my logbook.

Oh yeah, and watching a half dozen airliners go missed at DFW an hour or so later when I got back to leave the keys at the FBO was something I've not seen in quite some time either.
Wierd day to say the least.

Vis was down to less than 1 mile for awhile at AFW yesterday afternoon due to smoke.
