Brief article on Yahoo news saying the George Lucas helmed 'Red Tails' will start filming soon in Europe and will star Terrence Howard (IronMan) and Cuba Gooding (who was in the Tuskegee Airmen movie of about 10 years ago)....really looking forward to this one, the flying scenes should be spectacular....and looking forward to updates from our European members maybe like the recent Memphis Belle movie thread!

Unfortunately there might not be an opportunity for updates, if Lucas decides to go the route of ALL CGI. That was the rumor. From what I hear the ground scenes will be in P-51 replicas.
I really hope he changes his mind.

There are real P-51s and some other planes involved in the filming, also a B-17.

I have contacts who are heavily involved in the filming, and I have supplied a lot of props to them.
Hopefully they will try to make it as authentic as possible, well the props will be.

That's Spielberg, not Lucas.
