A Corsair Hits The Deck

This is a F4U-1D of my cousin Don's Squadron VMF-112 making a bad landing on the USS Bennington in 1945.
He's missed all the CDPs but hopefully the deck crew will get the barrier cables up in time to stop him.

My uncle, O.F. Fisher, was killed in a Corsair off Bennington in summer of 1945.
