Here is a somewhat outdated picture of my collection.

Image

I've added a F4U-4, 2 P-51B (one with a Malcom Hood). Kelly hinted that I should complete one of the models before I start thinking of getting more. I have the 3 P-51s in process but not completed yet.

I've got a huge stash of about 130 unassembled 1:48 kits acquired over the last year or so - range in size from a Monocoupe Special to a B-29, and encompasses allied piston trainers, fighters and bombers, with a smattering of German types, plus lots of light aircraft. Also several 1/72 piston airlines (Connie!) and the odd 1/32 light aircraft which slipped in when I wasn't looking! The latest has just arrived on my desk at work, a 1/48 resin Miles Falcon.

Now, if I could just find the time to finish building the several I've started! TimApNy, yues, that's my problem, if i see 'em (espcially cheap) I buy 'em.

Thought this thread was worth brining back to life.

I have over 30 different B-29 models. Of varying scales, up to Monograms massive 1/48.

Also have several dozen Japanese fighters up to a massive 1/32.

I have only started to build one over the last 9 years and that is lost in my storage somewhere.

I have four young kids, ages 8 months to 9 years.., so i have no 'alone' time to build.., and I live in NYC, so also no place to build them.

Someday!!!!!!

In my old bedroom back at the rents house as a child I had a collection of 48th scale WWII aircraft hanging from the ceiling with the gear up. There's approx seventy aircraft. I have part of my 72nd scale WWII now in my new house. there is approx 40+ of those.

I also collect beer/pub coasters and old Camel cigarette ads.

I mostly build 1/48 WWII Warbirds. But I have built all sorts of kits. Most recently was a 1/288 Nasa 747 and shuttle.

I have 120+ hanging up. :)

I once had a whole fleet of 1/72 hanging from my bedroom ceiling when I was a kid, but those are all long gone. I've also built a ton of 1/48th, but again as spae has shrunk, so has my collection. Right now I have just two 1/48th on display, a spit and a mustang, with another mustang in the works.
I also have a dozen or so 1/20th grand prix cars, and quite a few scratchbuilt medeival buildings, which is where my focus lies now.

Large and varied, and mostly packed away.

Only have a few things out, mostly kits that I have produced and some 1/144 scale aircraft.

Right now, I've got maybe three dozen finished models in the display case, and some 400 unbiult kits in the basement. About 99% are 1/72 WWII aircraft.

Here are a few of the storage areas around our house:

More-or-less current projects under the workbenches:

A few of the older Nascar models and various projects:

These two shots are in the tractor shed/model storage overflow:

Those boxes are full of stuff I haven't gotten around to unpacking since two moves ago, and there are more boxes in the attic of the shed.....

We're nuts, right?
