Just spoke with the airport manager at Victoria. He is having at fly-in at KVCT on 4-5 APR 09. This is taking the place of the Collins birds annual visit. They always made the stop during the week, but the Victoria people were wanting something on the weekend. I guess that's why the CF is bringing their planes (B-17, -24, P-51 and Huey?) to San Marcos this year. The CenTex Wing, CAF will host them.

The CAF B-24 "Ol' 927" and B-25 "Yellow Rose" will be there doing the ride program (unless TSA shuts it down before then!), as well as the B-17 "Thunderbird" and some other aircraft. It should be a fun time, and hopefully profitable for the big birds!

Most planes will be arriving Friday the 3rd. Anyone want to join in? Let me know and I'll get his info to you. My E-mail would be best as my computer at home won't let me post. That address is "bluehawk15@aol.com"

It's looking like the C-47 "Bluebonnet Belle" will be joining the B-24 "Ol' 927" and B-25 "Yellow Rose" at Victoria on the 4th and 5th of April, selling rides.

Sadly, the B-25 "Yellow Rose" won't be making it. We are running a couple of weeks behind due to problems getting parts.
