The B-25 Yellow Rose won't be making it, still in pieces, but coming together nicely. Parts held us back a couple of weeks. So we won't be making Victoria either.

The U-11 and Calvin Allen's T-6 are planning on coming over together. I'm going to try and get a couple of others so we can get some 4-ship practice in on the way over and back. If not it will be a spectacular 2-ship overhead and break to landing!

Cuz, what time is a good time to get there?

It's looking like that might be the fun part... they're calling for winds 15-20 with gusts as high as 30 in some places.. Hondo should be a piece of cake with all of those runways, but our field's grass strip isn't so very big and there aren't any other choices.

Here is the "FORECAST" guys. Cool, clear and not toooooo breezy. It has got to be less wind than today. I swear I saw parts of Oklahoma come by. As it is getting dark the winds are dying and "should" be good for tommorrow. It has already cooled down, kinda sweater weather really not bad. Only problem now is do I wear shorts and show off my sexy legs, or wear a flight suit?

So we did make it to Hondo today. It was quite windy, winds 16G27 or more at times, but I decided I needed the practice. The good news was that it was straight down 31 at Hondo (but a direct crosswind at our field!). Only serious issue was taxiing. Someone may have seen me turn right into the wind in order to get back to the left! Saw Lady02, Ober, and maybe some others there. Lots of CAF. Not a lot of flying, but a decent group of folks. Aircraft were the C-47, O-2, T-6, and L-5. They're doing some nice work on that C-47. Here are some pics.

The barbeque was good and we enjoyed our time there. Thanks for inviting us out!
