After the banning, JDK has written his version of the dispute with Bill. Since Bill does not have a chance to answer, I'll do it for him.

Bill showed me his last topic on WIX, from Jan. 15 & 16. It was titled, "ARE NEW WARBIRD MEMBERS OUT THERE?" Sounds like a Warbird topic to me. However, JDK, on March 20, at 7:24 PM, writes Bill..."was determined to argue people into the ground, and on topics NOTHING to do with Warbirds."

A reader can look at both these posts and see that what JDK wrote is just false.

Was there an unwritten rule on WIX that JDK can "argue people", but no one else can respond?

Bill may have strong views, but I have never seen him try to win an argument by shutting off the other person, nor knowingly write something false about someone.

I know Bill enjoyed and valued participating on WIX, and it is a shame, here in America, that people are ostracized for having opinions. I thought the internet was going to be the great global democracy.

Bill's gone. It was Scott's decision to ban him, it's Scott's site, so Scott makes the rules. Nothing to do with JDK or any of the other mods.

Get over it!

Mods, please move this thread to the off-topic section. It has nothing to do with warbirds.

I'm with Mike. It's time to move on.

This is ridiculous.

Every occasion I have posted regarding Bill's ban has been in response to another poster's question.

Each time I've made it clear that Bill can't tell his side of the story, and for that reason I don't want to discuss the matter. However current posters, IMHO deserve to know why things happen.

Bill's record on WIX was mostly great. I have file copies of certain posts that were edited to remove statements proven incorrect - rather than accepting error and moving on.

I warned Bill that if I were Scott, he'd be at risk of being banned - despite being taken as intended this was 'a threat'. Bill decided - his words - that I'd gone over to 'the dark side' and started a thread similar to the one above about his persecution.

Later - not my decision - Scott banned Bill whose behaviour hadn't come back in line with the rules. Nothing to do with me.

On the previous occasion I had a couple of PMs from 'Becky Feets' dictated / written by Bill thanking me for helping.

'Becky Feets' only appears to post for and when Bill cannot.

I take freedom of speech very seriously. That includes the freedom to take responsibility for one's actions, as I am doing here, again, and to take the consequences for them.

If anyone is in any way unhappy with any aspect of the running of the site, discuss it with Scott. As I'm sure most can appreciate I have no further interest in discussing this matter.
