I saw Dale fly several times. Last year in fact. Never looked like he was that low. Fred Cabanas seemed to do well too.

I was fortunate enough to attend the TICO show on Saturday the 14th. It was GREAT to see Dale in the Skyblazers Sabre again. VERY impressive.

"Starfighters" F-104 did a great job, also.

I don't see what people are arguing about in this thread, as you can't even see how high the plane is in the picture.

Every pilot fly's at least that low twice in every flight......

Relax folks, its an airshow routine flown by a super experienced pilot that has more time in the weeds then most in the air. If he flew at 3ft agl traveling from show to show I could see the reason for questioning his safety. I don't see how this is more dangerous then Patty or Sean doing a Lomcevak at a few hundred.

This photo by Dave Dunster is one of my favorites, from Oceana 2002.

What's the saying...............

And I'm sure that some of you would love to see Dale "Bob Hoovered" just so you could thump your chests.

America was built by small business and personal liberty. People earn their surface waivers, and I'm happy to see them doing what they love.

So, you don't have air pockets, downdrafts or wind shear in the USA then? Or any other hazard which might suddenly see that wingtip touch the ground sending the aircraft cartwheeling into the crowd then?

I don't know what being "Bob Hoovered" is (some sort of suck job? ) but I would like to see all airshow pilots putting a proper safe margin for error into their routines. I actually thought the same about the great Ray Hanna, I knew he was a master of low flying, I knew he was experienced and knew what he was doing, and I loved to watch it, but it scared the hell out of me and I always worried about his low antics. i think that about all these pilots who do it. I recognise this particular pilot is regarded highly for his skill and experience, that's fine. I have no problem with that. But he's still flying too low for me to feel comfortable with, and it is just not for me.

America was built by small business and personal liberty.

I'm confused as to what this has to do with the discussion, but for what it's worth, I always thought America was built on religious fundamentalism that was thrown out of Europe for being too radical, followed by all conquering expansionism, genocide, oppression, capitalism and globalisation. :?

Somebody needs to bone up on their American history.

WTF? .... I'm confused as to what this has to do with the discussion. I think you may be a bit off here. Just maybe? ...

The fellows too low, but we've been here before in this discussion, nothing new to discuss IMHO. I wish him the best to be safe in all of his displays. We don't need anymore mishaps from anyone. Too much to lose.

I'm just winding you's all up. Sorry chaps. Didn't mean to be offensive.
