The Armament Museum is a nice little museum. Unfortunately inside space is very limited. A few years ago they had plans to build a larger building. When I was there last September I saw no mention of this. The B-17 is in terrible condition. There is corrosion though out the airframe and its getting worse ever time I visit...

Please excuse the quality first of all - these are my shots from December 2002 with my old camera. Better than nothing, but not much... Hope your shots are better hercules.

Compared to my interior shots, yours are great.

Here is the place from the 90's. I think around 1994, but it could have been any time that decade. I was there for a few shows in Fort Walton Beach.

I really like the older paint on the A-10, especially the rear.

And I think this SR-71 has a unique tail.

Thanks for those. Was google earthing the site and it looks like they have an extra F-104 out behind the building in a small clearing out by the road. Anyone have a photo of it?

Thanks for the interior shots at the armament museum and of the collection at Hurlburt. The planes at Hurlburt seem to get alot of TLC!

Doolittle's B-25? I thought they left that bird on a mountain in China! Is this an original B, or a conversion: I can't see the rear upper turret, and it looks like it has the "other" tail skid (bump, as opposed to faired retracting looking one)

Thanks for the Hurlburt shots armyjunk2! They are looking evn better since I saw them last in 2004. So they repainted the A-1E eh? Here she is before Katrina in Sept. 2004 in her SEA camo:
