Speaking of which, when the he11 is Cavanaugh gonna get an engine on that bird, done up as an ersatz F4U-1C as a tribute to Archie Donahue? Saw some pics that someone posted the other day and in the background was that Corsair, STILL without an engine on it (how long since the accident now.....3...4....5 years?) My god I could've built them an engine by now....and I'm as mechanically inclined as a Moose....
Whatever engine shop they went to I wanna know the name of....and refer people AWAY from it.....

Eeeeeeasy there, Mark. Yes, the engine shop doing that is known for being "less than expedient," but they got a rash of bad bearings out of the shop that they use for that purpose. The bearings are difficult to get "right" and the shop contracted to do that just didn't get their act together. Unfortunately, all the engine builder can do is trust the work that is done, as there isn't really a good way to check if the babbot process was done correctly (that I know of).
So yes, some of the delay is because of the engine builder, but he's not the primary reason for the failures/delays.
Doug Jeanes, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here.
