Close enough David!

Set of floats for a Sikorsky H-19 Chickasaw.
I don't recall ever see another set of them anywhere nor displayed on an H-19.
They are part of the Connecticut Air and Space Center's collection in Stratford, CT.

Here's some more pics:

The 1/48 Revell model of the H-19 had the floats. You could also build it with wheels only.

That's them!
Just wondering if anyone else out there knows of a similiar set?

Are there any plans to put them on the real deal, that would be very unique. 8)

Sid,

Glad to see you on board! I was just about to forward this link to you thinking, "Now, there's something that Sid would find really interesting."

Wonder if someone would restore an H-19 with those floats to make of one of these?:

I agree with you.
The museum has an H-19, but it's restoration is "down the road". I have never seen one displayed anywhere with the floats, so hopefully that would be the idea. Are there any other floats "floating" around out there?

I'm not sure there were a lot of H-19's that wore them, so it there may be very few in existence. Kind of like those C-47 floats they found years ago and strapped onto an actual C-47.
