So, I'm trying to replace a few broken DZUS springs on the C-54. These hold on the enine accessory panels in front of the firewall, but behind the engine.I do not have any more replacement springs, nor do I have a part number.

After looking through the Douglas Parts Manual, the only part number I can come up with is 125. I've searched the internet and parts supply houses and come up with no cross reference.

I also am not going to be able to access the "Spirit" until Saturday, which is when I hope to have some more springs.

Does anyone know if there is an old number vs new number?

These are being used in cooperation with AJ-6 and FJ-6 fasteners.

Kevin,
Try Skybolt Aerospace Fasterners in Leesburg, FL. Their telephone number is 352 / 326-0001. They manufacture every size of Dzus fasterners.

Looking at an East Coast Aviation Supply, (www.ecasinc.com) the part number would be defined by the length of the rivet spacing and the height of the spring. They don't list any -6 sizes but an S5A-200 has 1 inch rivet spacing and is .200" high.

DZUS FASTENERS CO., WEST ISLIP, NY (CAGE CODE 72794)

http://www.dfcis.com/st-1200/index.html

#5 is 1.0" from hole to hole while #6 is 1.375" hole to hole, so 125 might be referring to the spring height (.125), but I can't find any part number to confirm that.

If 125 is a Douglas part number it is long obsolete. I can't find anything on it.

Maybe WIX member "Earls" can cross reference something? They have tons of old stock like this (http://warbirdinformationexchange.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=23623 http://warbirdinformationexchange.org/phpBB2/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=13031 http://www.anplumbing.com/).

Aircraft Spruce also carries this stuff in their catalog:

EXAMPLE: S3-150 = .150. All Dzus products are available. Request quote on unlisted items.
