Our general admission prices did NOT go up. They are the same as last year and you are able to buy your discounted tickets online within the same time frames.

No offense intended, Kevin...I wasn't referring to the general admission prices. If memory serves, (and I don't have my receipts from last year) the photo tour & photo pit prices were $130 per day for the two of us.
So what cost $130 a day for the two of us, last year, will cost $170 a day this year. That extra $80 for the weekend is what I was referring to. Correct me if I'm wrong. (When you're my age, the memory is the second thing to go.)

Sorry Mudge I thought you were referring to the general admission prices.
Your memory serves you correct. The Photo Tour and Photo Pit price was increased by $10 per person. There hadn't been a price increase in the last 4 years, despite increases in admission.
And your calculations are correct. If you are buying the Photo Tour & Pit package for two persons each day it will cost you an extra $80.
On the cheaper side of things, you can always buy a general adult admission ticket (online right now) for $15 and a parking ticket for $5. Making the price for TWO adults going to Thunder only $35 for the whole day!!

I don't see her on the roster! Hope she'll be there doing what she does best. Making money! Would be cool to see a formation flight of a B-17, Lanc, and B-24! :wink:

Yankee Lady is going to be in Eden Prairie, MN that weekend. If I remember correctly, YAM decided to honor the Eden Prairie show rather than cancel on them.

We will have grandstands installed along the main crowdline. You will be able to see the Battles and the air show from them, as the Battles will occur in front of the crowdline this year.

The other school of thought is the Battles have become very popular and they should really be front and center, therefore the move to the crowdline followed that thought process.

But understandable with the price! Sure wont be the same but maybe some creative Yankee ingenuity could turn this around. Who knows? It might work out.

Actually, the price of soybeans has risen tremendously. Average selling price in August 2000 was $4.52/bushel, while the average price in August 2008 was $13.00/bushel. Potential yield based on the type of growing season (good or bad) also plays into what the actual damage to the crop was.
