I still think the coolest thing about Olds that I have read has to do with his passing up the chance for a kill over an NVA airfield because he realized that in all likelihood one or two of his fourship would be shot down. That is both discipline and concern for the troops.

Indeed a great pilot AND a great leader, often those two don't mix. Boy XXVII looks war weary in that shot!
