This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

There was a much bigger response to this than I ever figured there would be. I've had several emails and phone calls from concerned friends wanting to make sure nothing bad was going on. Randy and Kelly hit it on the head, I'm just cleaning house. I've got so much stuff that I've saved over the years and most of it will never be of any use to me. I'm just hoping somebody else will have a need for it. I'm doing my best to accomodate all the requests so I'm splitting this stuff up as best I can. I even dug out a few other medals to sweeten the deal for some.
The "amount of items my wife has in her collection of military junk" is pretty impressive but she isn't wanting to part with much yet.
Jack, I've got something that I'm saving to send you after I retire in three years.
Gary, I've still got a bunch of stuff set aside for Jordan to wind up with some day. As for getting rid of this government stuff...just look at this as my own economic stimulas plan. People can sell it on ebay and make money that they can use to pay income tax returns to people that don't pay taxes! By the way, marital bliss is so good in our house that Kristine has your wedding present hanging in the hallway here! Finally, you know I have no conscience left and by the time I'm as old as you I probably won't remember how I got all this stuff anyhow!
Randy, best I remember the captains bars were aquired in an operation that involved Camp Andy back in the day, bootleg booze and a bayonet...

Actually the first one is from the 7th Airlift Squadron at McChord. That was the first C-17 squadron I was in. The stupid looking patch is where the nickname "The Gay Blades" came from. When I got to the squadron and asked where it came from, I was told that some queer flight engineers from the C-141 days were the reason for the name.
Tom,
Sorry but I put the last of the stuff in the mail already. As I dig up more, I'll keep you in mind.
