Nathan's thread on "Wings" kick started a memory.
Does anyone remember the name of the show that was on A&E in the early 90's? Planes of Fame was heavily involved as the episodes always ended with beautiful air-to-air footage of Steve Hinton flying one the POF planes. And if so is it available anywhere??

I think you may be referring to "First Flights." I've got an episode or two recorded on VHS (all my old tapes are currently buried in the basement.) Niel Armstrong was host, and profiled a different aircraft each week.

Yeah Dors, "First Flights", I enjoyed the show but really blanched when it came to the audio presentation of
the aircraft. Rather heavily filtered or worse yet..generic guitar chukka..chukka playing in the background.
That being said, I never missed an installment. Just turn off the volume and make your own airplane noises.

Ah yes, that is it. Thanks guys.
The sound can't be any worse than the crap that is on TV these days. I am pretty sure that the episode of Air Combat that I watched the other day was dubbing the sound of Sean Tucker's Oracle challenger for the P-47. I literally had to turn it off.
