I am looking for the whole sheetmetal tub assembly for the panels and mag switch for our C-47. ours has been modified years ago for current style military equipment and I am trying to return it to original condition.

Yup!

Found it under a bush near the splattered remains of a former target. It's to badly sun damaged to see through despite my best effort with plastic canopy polish. Now it's just garage art.

Dave, does your a/c have inertia starters or does it have direct drive? The way that some of the original panels are setup has lettering for meshing the starter vs. start and vibrate. I made completely new overheads for that reason. We have two new overhead panels we acquired from tradewinds (unless Andrew sent them back) but they were confirgured for a starting system we don't have, namely the inertia starter. If you want, I can send you my patterns along with the artwork for the lettering that I used to make ours. I then had them powdercoated and engraved with as close as an original font as we could find. They really look great. I'll check and see if the spare cockpit section we have has the tubs for the overheads or if they are of a different style.

Hey there Jim. That would be great! I had the guys start removing the military ( current ) out of the flight deck, in hopes of grabbing one from you or the palce here in town. You sound like im closer to getting one from you than them though!
