This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Oh yeah, yesterday at work I saw an orange and white T-44 pass over kinda low. Those frequently fly in and out of Easterwood airport at College Station and we're apparently along their regular route. I see quite a few regular Cessna looking types and other low wing spam cans. They all look alike except V tail Bonanzas.

Thought about getting one of the Wacos out this weekend but stopped at the airport and our individual ramps from our hangars to the taxiway were both covered in snow and ice and lots of slush. That and the wing catcher snow piled along the sides of the runway made flying lose all its appeal. Give us another month!!

Camping under the approach to StPete/Clearwater with the Boy Scouts yesterday.....something buzzed overhead every 10-20 minutes, mostly just the usual crowd, UPS, Cessnas, Allegiant Air, USCG 130's . Then We had a grey, looked to be a Super Hornet....What is HE doing going there?? Really Lost!?! Never seen one land there? We also had some medium sized turboprop with canards up front.....no idea of what it was, I'll have to post a pic and see if we can get an ID.

Was fishing in 11 mile canyon on saturday (Feb. 28) and got buzzed by two CH-47 Chinook helicopters flying low through the canyon in a very 'Apocalypse Now' type scene, they came at us from out of the setting sun....very cool....last summer on the Poudre got buzzed by 3 C-130 Herky Birds running up the Poudre canyon.....best ever tho was 2 summers ago while fishing the Thompson the Collings B-25 and B-24 came over the river where I was fishing about 5 minutes apart....amazing hom much aviation you see while you're fishing!
