Of course the Disney stars (particularly Mickey) were seen to serve on both sides...

The earliest Disney stars I can think of were seen on German Condor Legion aircraft in the Spanish Civil War. Any earlier?

Did the Walt Disney team designed tiger logo for Flying Tigers in China?

Grupul 9 adopted this Mickey Mouse emblem as their unit insignia. The emblem itself is a parody of Saint George killing the dragon. It was carried on IAR 80s and Bf 109Gs of that unit. It was also painted on lt.av. Horia Agarici's Hurricane featured below.

Disney actually assigned artists to do the design work for insignia as the requests started rolling in. I think the Axis use of the Disney characters probably wasn't sanctioned by old Walt ! :D

I dunno which is more scary - using 'unauthorised' Disney characters or having Walt's 'support'.

There's a warbird out there with a Mickey not looking too happy on it, which I don't think the Corporation would be too pleased with...

There are several examples of Disney characters at the Spirit of Flight Center in Erie, Colorado.

Can anyone identify this Disney character for me? Or is it somebody else's creation?

Ahh you've heard of "Mad Mickey" then. Don't forget Disney also went to sea but it was usually Donald seen on ships.
