Cowl'n up the #2 on the Liberty Belle around 10:30 at night in Canton, GA after a looong day (and I only showed up in the afternoon!) This is what it's allllll about :D

WIXers Chuck and Rod. Poor Chuck was freezing his a$$ off again today working on #3, while I was inside the "relatively" warm fuselage and cockpit most of the time!

Aaahhhh, yes, the late night! Actually, I normally work third shift, so that wouldn't have seemed so late if I hadn't been up since 5 AM that morning!

I was on the ramp in Boston at midnight saturday changing a hydraulic pressure switch on a CJ-3.
It was 15 degrees with a 15 mph wind.

What was I thinking? OH, yeah, I needed the OT!

I dont see any ice on the ground there!

Do any of you guys working on these big warbirds have a copy of the maintenance program... preferably electronic... preferably that DC-3/C-47?

Thanks,

Gunny asked if anyone has a maintenamce program. The real question should be "APPROVED" maintenance program. We are working on it. Not as easy as copying one they have already approved (just change ser. #) That would be to easy, and don't think they would approve one from another FSDO down they road 20 miles. We are getting close (knock on wood) and will be in touch if it happens.

I don't know where you are, but if there is a approved program, the FAA inspector I deal with will accept it with changes to the serial numbers. I took the one for the TBM, from another FSDO, changed the serial and sailed it thru.

you should not have to re-invent the wheel everytime.

It's true... my end goal is an approved mx program... my Fed has already told me what he wants... so if I have something to start with it would really make life easier (not wanting to re-invent the wheel mode).

This is what it looked like yesterday @ 20-20 (wind & temp). I don't even want to know what that works out to as wind chill  Whose idea was it to locate an airport on top of a windy plateau, instead of sheltering it in a valley?

My goal was to close out and cowl #3 and miss evening rush hour through Atlanta. I did miss rush hour - it was gone before I got there.

Thank you Rod & Trevor. Your help is appreciated.

Chuck
