Nice picture, My uncle was a Tuskegee Airmen assigned to the 96th Air Service Group / 367th Air Service Squadron at Falconara. I have several different photos of that same Croation Bf-109 and another one with the number 10 on the fuselage all taken at Falconara.

Thanks for the warm welcome gentlemen. I have been watching WIX from the bench for the past 3 years at home and abroad. I am a 25 year active duty Navy veteran i.e. Flattop sailor, historian, researcher and Warbird lover you guy's have already made me feel right at home on WIX.

No that is not my uncle in front of the 109. Actually I had two uncles that were Tuskegee Airmen. T/Sgt Rober Boyd 96th Service Group & Sgt. Clarence Huntley Jr. 100th FS. Both enlisted the AAC at the same in Oct 1942 after completing basic training in the 318th Air Base Unit at Tuskegee Army Air Field they were seperated and placed in different units. My uncle Bob became a Airplane Engine Mechanic in the 367th Air Service Squadron and my uncle Clarence Huntley aka Uncle Buddy became a crew chief in the 100th Fighter Squadron on the P-39Q,
P-47D-16 and P-51C-10-NT in the 100th FS. Between them both and their wartime friends I have been able to amass over 2000 b/w & color photos of the Tuskegee Airmen.
