Hi there, I am looking for a pilot/co-pilot yoke and columns to finish a restoration on Snafu Special at the Merville-Franceville Battery in France.

If anyone has a lead or items, please let me know what we can work out. They dont have much money, and all items are being donated or sponsors are being found to buy such items. Let me know your asking price and Ill if its feasable. Please dont let this scare you away if you do have them, just send me the total. I am paying for shipping personally to ship over to France.

Thanks everyone!

Dave

Hi Dave:

There's a possible source for them here in Toronto, as one or even (almost) two C-47's may get scrapped if homes are not found for them. One of them may already be cut down to the point that raiding it for parts may not be an issue.
I can make inquiries about the yokes if you'd like, though I'm sure they would prefer to dispose of them intact - or maybe you know of someone who wants a whole bird, assuming they have the resources to come and get it.

If UNFORTUNATELY they are going to be scrapped, please let me know how to get ahold of the owners. I need many parts. The original benchseats and the brackets for the walls, the yokes/column assys, and im looking for an original radio rack or atleast a photo.

Well, it seems I was misinformed...
First the good news. The single DC-3 at Pearson Airport is most definitely not going to be scrapped.
The less good news is that two C-54's have already been scrapped. javascript:emoticon('')
Sorry if I've given you any false hope. I'll keep looking.

Joe
