Oh good grief yes...that's been YAM's "holy grail" for eons. It's wrenching to read the India section of the early editions of Leslie Hunt's "Veteran and Vintage Aircraft" surveys...about a dozen recently-retired coastal patrol B-24J/L/M (ex RAF Liberator VIII) types, there for the taking, more or less, but nobody wanted them...Three or four had gone to museums already (eg. Cosford; Pima; Rockcliffe) and one would go to the IAF museum; one last one would surface later on and eventually become CF's superb "Witchcraft"; but the rest...irretrievably gone. One of those sad "if onlys" made even more dismaying by its relative recency. If Yankee are actively looking for a Lib now, good for them, and I earnestly hope they finally find one!

If you something of interest, log on to www.yankeeairmuseum.org and go to the contact us section. E-mail to ernie should do the trick. Thanks JOE

So where’s the treasure to be found N3NJeff?
