Those are really nice photos, a refreshing new look at some "old friends".

Whenever I see that B-24 I'm reminded of the day in 1969 when I asked my auburn-haired wife to pose by the name Strawberry Bitch. She still doesn't think it was funny.

Chris, what would you think would be the NMUSAF's "mona lisa"? What airplane stands out as the most popular attraction for visitors. And what airplne do you think will eventually become the most popular? Is there one? ... And great photos. I wish you would post more. I have yet to visit the place.

Hi Steve, speaking of planes at the NMUSAF, can you relate the story to us how you discovered the B-17 ShooShooBaby looking very much worse for the wear in France. There are probably more than a few of us here who are not familiar with your discovery of this significant WW2 veteran.

Great pics, Chris..looks like my "overhead" technique is catching on! Just wish I had a camera as nice as yours.

Mr. Birdsall, the SB is actually one of my wife's favorite aircraft..she's occaisionally a strawberry blonde herself, and considers the plane her namesake!

Might I say it's quite an honor having you on the forum? I literally wore out copies of your "Aero Series" books on the B-17 and -24 when I was a kid back in the '70s!

Yes, there are plans to go and do this. I think that it is going to take place in the spring.

Wonderful photos, Chris - the Museum is still number one on my bucket list. Is there any chance you could get cockpit shots of the B-10 and B-18? I know the B-10 was a basket case when they got it - is it internally complete now?

They are always adding equipment to the aircraft as stuff becomes available. The B-10 is complete, for the most part. I have never been in it, but I will see what I can do.
