I believe this is the ex-Howard Hughes bird (I think the same one you are talking about Randy).

I've seen ads for it before with the contact info up here in Sequim, WA.

IIRC the aircraft is still down in CA, near Sacramento.

It is in fact, the ex- Howard Hughes B-23 #39-33, N747M The aircraft is at Ione, Ca and hasn't flown since 1994. We last ran the engines in 2002.

General Electric company used to fly B-23's as corporate aircraft in the 1960's. I think they owned 2 - maybe 3. I was working at Boone County Aviation located on CVG in 1960 when they lost an engine and landed. We hung a new engine for them. Got to go on the test/accepatance flight. This bird may be that one.
