This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Since I was going by and I had the camera, I got a couple of pics. They have no accurate info on the S/N of the aircraft. I had seen it before it was mounted on the pole and there were no dataplates to be found.
The VT Army Guard used to have this one on a trailer and they took it around for recruiting.

That is a nice spot. My wife and I went by there last spring and saw the OH-6 when we stayed at Smuggler’s Notch. I would also like to know the s/n as I have no information for that airframe.
Cheers,
Eric

Me too eric, that one is the only one that I dont have and we will probably never find out unless I can find someone that remembers what the number was when it was with the VTANG.
Guess its something to work on. Sad but she has only been up there for maybe 4 or 5 yrs and already her paint has badly oxidized. Maybe one day I can offer some help when its time for a re-paint.

If you login (click the Lancaster icon in the top left corner of the page), then return to the page and refresh you will see the serial info. Sorry about the extra step, but it is the initial part of expanded features coming in the spring.

I believe it came from Andy Marden's book "Military Out of Service USA". I credit my book sources for the Locator here...

I think I have also seen it on a list of serials of helicopters allocated to various museums and other organizations like the VFW Posts.

Mike, I have the serials here from the TACOM list if someone wants them. I posted them on the other thread here about choppers. I think I put the list in here about a year ago. I have the Cobra lists also
