Are there any privately owned Cobra helicopters (even static) in the northeast US?

Here is the AH-1 list for the US from Mike Henniger's site...Aerial Visuals

http://www.aerialvisuals.ca/Locator.php#TheResults

Here's a list that Army Junk recently posted on WIX

Happy Hunting!

I only have two AH-1s noted as static in Nebraska. Here is a better link...
ImageAerial Visuals Locator Search - AH-1 in Nebraska

Note that if you want to paste links to search results from the Locator, I have a new feature that is made for you. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page or click on the "Tell Others" link. You will find the link text for the results of your particular search there. Copy it and paste it here. You can also have the ability to email a link to somebody from there as well.

HTH

Mike

P.S. I am gradually implementing this new link feature on other pages, and still smoothing off the rough edges, but it seems to work.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Mike,
OP is using NE to indicate North East US, not the state.

This gang in Atlanta flies a neat demo in Cobras. Museum airframes, retired pilots. Not exactly northeast, although they do travel to shows, I believe.

You are welcome. Thanks for posting the link in the first place.

Ahhhhhh.... I only speak Canadian eh?

Anyway here are some links to AH-1s in the north-east...
ImageAerial Visuals Locator Search - Aerial Visuals Locator Search - AH-1s in Connecticut
ImageAerial Visuals Locator Search - Aerial Visuals Locator Search - AH-1s in Delaware
ImageAerial Visuals Locator Search - Aerial Visuals Locator Search - AH-1s in Maryland
ImageAerial Visuals Locator Search - Aerial Visuals Locator Search - AH-1s in Massachusetts
ImageAerial Visuals Locator Search - Aerial Visuals Locator Search - AH-1s in New Jersey
ImageAerial Visuals Locator Search - Aerial Visuals Locator Search - AH-1s in New York
ImageAerial Visuals Locator Search - Aerial Visuals Locator Search - AH-1s in Pennsylvania
ImageAerial Visuals Locator Search - Aerial Visuals Locator Search - AH-1s in Rhode Island
ImageAerial Visuals Locator Search - Aerial Visuals Locator Search - AH-1s in Virginia
ImageAerial Visuals Locator Search - Aerial Visuals Locator Search - AH-1s in West Virginia

This list is more or less complete. I am not sure which states qualify as NE. Some were left out because there were no AH-1s listed.

Mike

EDIT: I just noticed I need to tweek the URL link at bit. I'll leave them the way they are here for now.

Check out the web link above. I've met the guys and wouldn't intentionally posting something I knew was untrue.

IIRC, there are only like 6 (if that) Cobras that are flyable and in private, civilian hands. 2 of them are up here in Olympia. I couldn't run the video, but these guys must have some government ties.

There are 13 AH-1's in private hands. 4 of them are in Olympia. One of which will be headed to the UK in a few months.

The Cobra show team in Georgia is run by a guy whose father is a General in the Pentagon. They are on perpetual loan to them. I heard they were going to shut it down this year.
