For that matter let's go after most of the privately owned warbirds out there. Many people who own multiple airplanes (or one) register them to a "museum" with the mission statement of "promoting America's contribution to history and remembering those who fought..." or some such, simply to take advantage of tax breaks. Every warbird should be made to resemble exactly the way it did when it rolled off the production line and those who don't strive to make sure their battery boxes have the proper shade of black stencil probably don't deserve to be owners in the first place.
Please, I've said it before and I'll say it again. He who pays the bills is the decider. The decider gets to decide, that is what he does. When you get to be the decider, you can make sure your battery box is the proper color. In the mean time, lets not slag so much those who are committed to keeping them flying. I think the T-6 looks great; A,B,C, or Z makes no difference, a -6 is a -6 is a Harvard and it's nice to see a new, unique paint job out there flying around. Hats off to LSFM and the crew.
