Who's P-38 in the background? Can't make out the #'s .. Very nice photo. Would have loved to see those two P-38's flying together. I always thought Bill's P-38 was very nice looking ... Used to see it at Oshkosh.

A few more P-38 photos and a P-40 that was rebuilt by Bill.

"Connie" Edwards N3800L. You can still see that one at Oshkosh, it's on permanent static display there...

Hellcat,

On the far side of the runway, that is the P-38 of the 'Edwards Brothers' being flown by the late Bill Edwards.

Out of frame, and the third P-38 in this 30 plus mass take off, John Bolton's two place.

Ah! The two place. :)

Do you know what year that was? I think I was there! I remember the bronze-colored Bearcat, and I used to have an old "instamatic" snapshot of three P-38s in formation. I believe it was 1972, and I had just turned eight..my first ever trip to Canada.

Actually 1974.

'Airwar74', billed at the time as the biggest gathering of Warbirds.
