I know this is a strech, but it never hurts to offer. I will be in the area this summer, and if anyone is looking for a pilot to fly his N3N to the event, I would be willing. I am checked out and have flown some rides for Lonnie Autries in his "N" on 30 x 5s. I am easily insurable, and I think it would be fun to be involved. PM me if anyone is interested. Could also take one on floats, wouldn't that make the event awsome.

There is a nice lake very close by. Wouldn't you like to see one flying by?

I would not mind, no not at all. It would be some pretty good logistics to go x-country with one thats for sure.

Funny, I had a chat with a guy that had a interest in converting a N3N into a anphib with a folding gear much like a early sikorsky flying boat. He also wanted a 300 lyc for more power. I told him that if he went that far to go through all the certification with the faa then why not make it a 450 pratt and make the float as part of the fuselage like a Grumman Duck. Personally its not a bad Idea, a waste of a N3N but not a bad idea esp with some of the metalized ones that I have seen out there as dusters. But it would need to be someone with DEEP pockets but would be COOL indeed!!!

Dates are July 10-12, the website hasn't been completely updated for 09 yet but you can get some information off of it: http://www.1941hag.org/files_airshow/airshow2009.html

The show isn't a Corsair gathering but will rather feature more naval aircraft than usual.

Eric, you going early for the Biplane Flyin????? Frank dropped your name for some photo work on a Air to Air segment. We get all these N's together, I would love to see some A2A of us happen.

How does that work, does it cost us anything???? I would love to see someone pick up the ball and do a article on it.

We turn 74 yrs old in 09. Were going to have a birthday cake!!!

Hey Jeff,

My work for pilots and owners is always free as I appreciate all the work and money that goes into keeping these aircraft alive and in the air. I will send you a PM tonight.

Cheers,

Eric

Well, how many Ns showed up at Geneseo? In the next month we will get three up in the air for a photo shoot. Dr Paul Collins has two, one stock and another with a 300 Lyc that has just been restored and is waiting for paperwork. I'll be flying Niel Ring's ex Bill Farmer airplane. Might get Rich Sugden to bring his over from Driggs to make four. Don
