Here ya' go Jack...a Col. Mossie report

Tue Jan 13, 2009 10:32 am

I've had several folks ask me about Col. Mossie (Mosquito) here at the CAF HQ hangar, but Jack is certainly the most persistent. :) Sooooo, here are a couple of very poor quality shots of him. I was working on the #2 engine of the JU-52 yesterday, when I noticed some movement not too far away. It was Col. Mossie trying to figure out a way to get up to where I was. You see, he has this thing about not wanting anyone to have higher ground than he has, so anytime you're on a ladder, work stand, etc., he's either up there with you, or like yesterday, trying to figure out a way to get there.

Anyway, I apologize for the poor quality of the shots, but ol' Skeeter is doing just fine..........

Looks like the lazers are getting ready to fire...

Anything exciting happening with the Ju-52?

Thanks for keeping us updated on the Colonel, Gary. Shadow still around? Or is she still as intent on hiding from work as Mossie is on supervising it?

Hi Skeeter!

yeah, Dave posted a pic of Shadow the other day.

Speaking of... have you seen any snakes lately? Or the bobcat?

Tue Jan 13, 2009 1:09 pm

Now that the parts are gone off the hill, the bobcat has nowhere to live and the rabbits (his daily lunch) are pretty much gone too. The snake population has likely moved on as well, but with it being somewhat cold out now, nobody will see them for another month or two anyway.

All the parts out on the hill are gone? Were they moved inside somewhere?

Carl Scholl now has all of those parts, so I assume they are in his storage facility in the deserts of California.
