Everything they came across in the Solomons

Capt Frank Gaunt 8 kills in #126 and 1Lt Cy Gladen 5 kills in #134 of the 44th FS
patrol the the Barakoma Straits in the P-40M Warhawks Sept 1943.

Our airforce (RNZAF) flew P40s in the Pacific including the Solomons but I thought only we had the white diagonal stripes as depicted by these two examples. Well you learn something new everyday! Nice photo. :D
