Privateers in Color

Hi!

Does anyone have this photo in some bigger resolution?

I wonder if that photo was taken at Litchfield Park? Notice that the dorsal turrets have been stripped and there are no guns in the remaining positions. It also appears that some of the antenna fairings on the lower nose have been bobbed.

I hope at least one of the Privateers being restored ends up in the tri-color camo.

As far as I can tell, most have a post-war scheme in the works. It would be nice if the Privateer was not portrayed, only, as a post-war warbird.

An early tri-color scheme would lend well deserved recognition to some of the unsung heroes of WWII, and the incredible, almost unbelievable missions they flew.

Oh, they also had some great nose art too. :lol:
