yup, saw that on the news. 4 million for a fixer upper.....that is enough for a NICE mustang and some spare change for gas, insurance, A HANGAR...guess I'd have to get a license to fly the thing as well ( you just buy those right!? :wink: )

Actually -- and continuing the discussion about whether a fully restored "dataplate" warbird is worth more than an unrestored warbird (e.g., Dottie Mae) -- many in the sportscar world believe that this car will go for MORE than any of the restored Bugatti Atlantic examples have thus far.

In fact, I've heard it may become the most expensive car ever auctioned!

Hmmm,
I just watched a show a few days ago about one that was found in CT.
It sold at Concourse of Greenwich, CT for $850k
:shock:
It was a bargain I guess.

Just saw a military vehicle collectors magazine where a British collector recovered 14 or 15 M3 Stuart tanks from Brazil. All intact and in remarkable condition. They were in indoor storage until 5 years ago.
