Normally I would agree, the problem is that at the very start of all of this many accused the security people at EAA for being idiots and for giving someone a hard time. I am friends with several of them, and I don't think it is right that it is not even acknowledged that anything was said against them.
Then you have the DUI thing. I take it personal. It strikes home as I see it and work near it so often. If we just say Oh she won't do it again, or blame the cops?? for doing their job. When I was new with the company we had to ride along with an ambulance unit and a police officer to see what they have to look at at their end. Trust me, you don't want their job. On my day with the police officer I had to respond to and this is a quote from the dispatcher, "guy going crazy in the street" So how do you prepare for that.
I mean no harm to Patty. I think and hope that this is a one time event. She is a great pilot, and person. I think she just made some bad decisions that night that led her down a rough road. But to blame the cops, EAA security, the jury, and the judge of all being up for just giving her a hard time is a bit much.
