wow guys! All these pictures are freakin fantastic! :D :!:

Indeed it was a great year for warbirds. I got my first ride in a B-17 and got to see my first early model P-51, and got to meet up with the Collins Foundation guys, and the added bonus of the P-40 gathering at Geneseo. Woohoo man just looking back gets me pumped up for next year! 8) Again great photos guys. I can't pick a favorite they all rock! :supz: :supz: :prayer: :prayer:

Thanks. It was pure luck. I was just watching for traffic and caught it out of the corner of my eye quick enough to get the camera up for the shot. Oddly enough, that was the very first day they started flying again after the investigation into the Guam accident.

Nice stuff, Dave. Man, TWO Lancasters in one place! But four P-47s in formation must have sounded really awesome. 8)

I took these though.

In 2008 I helped organized the Collings stop in Valparaiso. Below are some pic's of my flight in 909 as it flew from Chicago to Valpo.

Image
This was taken just after takeoff from KPWK and banking towards Lake Michigan.

Image
Somewhere over Lake Michigan heading south towards Indiana

Image
Bob Collings rode along in "Betty Jane" and wanted the bombers to fly over the mills in Gary before heading towards Valparaiso

Image
Before landing at the airport the bombers circled Valpo to drum up some business

Image
Later in the evening "Nine-o-Nine" went up on a flilght experience.
