Attempt a 1/48 scratch build of this aircraft and make it into kit form for production. Also I'm working on a BV 222. Anyone have any good cross sections of wings or any other good reference material?

Nicholas

You should take a look at the Summer 2008 edition of the CAHS Journal, for sale here: http://www.cahs.com/publications.htm

There is an excellent article by J. A. Schaur, tracking the last days of the Bv238 using witness interviews, as well as German, US, RAF and RCAF records. It seems this aircraft was severely damaged by Typhoons from 439 Sdn, RCAF, on 23 April 1945. They reported it as a Bv222 at the time. The Bv238 was then scrapped on site post war by an RAF Air Disarmament Wing.

The P-51 pilots probably destroyed the only example of the CAMS 161, a six engine French flying boat impressed by the Luftwaffe.

Darn Mustangs and Typhoons!
