Fargo Air Museum is pretty cool. They have an Avenger, DC-3 "Duggy", Super Corsair "Race 57", a Zero, etc. Have a good trip.

The Strategic Air & Space Museum is in Ashland, just west of Omaha.

Here are some lists that may help.

Fargo...
http://www.aerialvisuals.ca/Locator.php ... TheResults
(actually more questions than answers with this one)

Omaha...

I don't have anything listed specifically for Columbus, NE.

You may wish to consider sites along your route, so refer to the state map...
http://www.aerialvisuals.ca/Locator.php ... =NE#TheMap

There is also a trip planning tool to the Locator if you would like to plan a route with these sites along the way.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.
