WTF!!!! ... is this the best you guys can do? ... We need a great thread started by someone ... I'm working in my office and need a distraction. Gotta be here a few hours longer to get work done and I can't think of anything interesting to post. Get it together posters and think of something fun. Post some photos or make something up or start a fight .... Do something!!! ... Do I have to do everything. Don't make me have to dig deep in the archives and plagiarize someone's old post.

Mark the irritated ....

How about a thread on Invasion stripes or static vs flying or T-28's vs T6's? ... 8)

How about someone inform us on the (3) P-47's being restored in Australia. I just read a small article in "Flypast" magazine. I somewhat remember someone here discussing them. Where did they come from? What paint schemes? ... flyers or static? ... very cool stuff

How about a thread about virtual tours?

I've never been to Pima, or Evergreen, or Castle, or Fort Rucker, or Fort Hood, or several other aircraft museums. And some of the one's I have been to were years ago. Before digital cameras with endless storage space. And some places I forgot to have a Camera like Jackson Barracks before Katrina blasted it. Or maybe some folks have pictures from museums that no longer exist? Florence...Flying Tigers...are a couple that come to mind.

I have been scanning old photos and uploading to webshots as fast as they will allow me the space.

I thought about starting one, but I didn't want to P.O. the folks who don't like static.

I was hoping to visit the Cold War Air Museum and the DFW wing of the CAF this weekend, but it doesn't look like I will be able to make it.

Screw them!!! ... , I'll back you up. Sounds like a good idea. I'd like to see some close-up photos of Pima's collection.

All the P-47s that were exported to Australia were done so illegally and will have to be returned. They are to be scrapped upon their return just so some rich westerners cannot profit from them at the expense of the poor local natives, all of whom have PhDs in Aviation Archaeology.

I heard the same thing is going to happen to MAAM's P-61. I also here that not a single Fluk Werk 190 will ever fly because the anti-war activists are upset that the Nazi party is trying to re-organize and start a new Luftwaffe ...

Not P-47, but a good thread subject is always the authenticity of Warbird paint schemes...

I've been told that some of the stencils on this airplane were not placed correctly!

The stencils are OK but the checkerboard pattern on the tail is skewed at an incorrect angle.

I actually kinda like the scheme... its obviously not original, but it makes for a flashy racer
