I have a picture that I took of the American Moth before it got wrecked. Totally different airplane.

I have quite a bit of paperwork from the Vulcan Aircraft Co. in Portsmouth, Ohio that I obtained years ago and ERIC P. is correct, that is not a Vulcan American Moth. I too have slides of the one restored back in the late 1970's-early 80's.

However, WHEELSUP could very well be correct as he too is a wiz with all things aeronautical. Where did you get your info EZ?

ERIC......I am afraid we have a ringer here...forgot about WHEELSUP lurking about. Looks like I will have to blow the dust off a few books/magazines to see if he is right.

Even if the Wegner name is correct it will not matter. I would still be willing to bet that the Wegner name is a registration name for his version of a home built Driggs Dart. The year leans toward this theory as well. My 1931 Russell Light Monoplane was originally registered as a Mathieu Monoplane. It was right off the Russell plans accept for the engine, and rudder.

I do not think there is a fair way to run a contest like this, as whom ever comes in second, will always feel it is not an even playing field. We are not even signing on at the same times. So it will always be the first guy to see each airplane ....ect....ect...

Lets just forget it.
