Warbird Information Exchange

That was the first question that came to mind when I saw this photo. It is one of several photos from 31 SFTS at Kingston, in mid 1942. They come from the album of an RNZN trainee who was there, and has since passed away. A researcher in NZ shared this, and a few other photos. Any body interested in them?

I can imagine what it sounded like!
At Kenosha, Wisconsin in 1988 we had 54 T-6's in the air, in a tighter formation than your photo. They did it 3 days in a row, practicing for Oshkosh.
I witnessed it each day, first in a separate aircraft outside the formation while videotaping it, then in the #2 aircraft and the last day on the ground as they flew over.
It was one of the most memorable events I've ever been privileged to be a part of.

Reminds me of some of the T-6/SNJ/Harvard flybys they used to have at Beercanridge, er, I mean, Breckenridge.
