Hey, make a date. If possible I will drive up with Steve again.

I might be up for it again... I need my fill of that B-24! Is the new storage building open yet?

Somewhere in April.

I'll be away for a week on vacations starting tomorrow, but when I get back we'll dig into this more.

The new building is not open yet, I think it'll open in August.

Ok, I'm back.

Early April? Mid April?

I didn't even know a spring meet was being discussed! I haven't been good at keeping up with WIX lately.

Steve is coming this way in May for the CHAA conference. Perhaps then?

July 1 falls on a Friday this year? Anyone for a meet then as well?

Mike

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

I'll be in Ottawa from midday May 12 through to the morning of May16 for the CAAA (not CHAA..paintings of Harvards, not real ones ) conference. Could possibly be persuaded to try coming back up for Canada Day too, last year was very entertaining...

Yep, will be in Ottawa May 12-16; some of the time will be taken up with the conference but there should be a decent amount of free time...BTW, got a painting into Artflight this year (this time it's an Avro Avian, of all things...well, that's more "normal" than last show's 1901 Whitehead Monoplane at any rate!) Have booked with the hotel; will be registering for the conference itself in the next day or two...can't wait...

We should plan for the Saturday afternoon then? How about a tour of the new War Museum? We could follow that up with food and beverages at a local establishment, and a lie swapping session at the Henniger Resort.

Are any of our neighbors to the south interested in sending an American delegation?

I should be free from the late afternoon of Saturday through that night. The CAAA group is touring the new War Museum Sunday morning. From the looks of the CAAA conference slate for Saturday afternoon, it sounds like that timeframe will be spent at CAvM--divided between a presentation by Chris Terry (sci/tech museums CEO) on aviation museums, and CAAA's ever-popular slide critique. (Sunday afternoon is the CAAA AGM and Sunday evening is their banquet, so I'll be pretty busy the latter part of that day).

Anyway, probably smarter to list the times I think I WILL be free...which would be: Thursday, early part of the day; Friday evening; Saturday late afternoon/evening. Big chunks of time I'll be at CAvM, too, like all of Thursday evening during the Artflight opening...Of course I do have the option of coming up to the Ottawa area a day early or staying in the area a day later, since CAAA's conference is in the middle of two vacation weeks. Either way, looking forward to this visit!

I'm good for Saturday.

I'll try to fly in and I can fly out at night, CYRO is good for that.

What time shall I straffe the airport at?
