I am strying to find out place/time, but it is quite well possible the photo was taken in the fifties during an ILSY airshow at Ypenburg airbase in Netherlands.

Looks like a KB-50 tanker.
That should put you in a timeframe of use.

KB-50. The antenna housing on the upper fuselage contained an antenna for ranging on other aircraft. The big pods on the wings housed the refueling hoses with drogue baskets on the ends. A third hose and drogue would be housed in the tail gunners compartment. It refuel three fighters at a time.
