Aint that the truth, these lists are always lacking, glad the A10s on there :)

I guess that if you´re talking about ONE single bird and not a make or model, that would be the " ENOLA GAY ".

Just my opinion, but the most lethal aircraft is the one that has been poorly maintained, and then not properly pre-flighted.

Hello,

The nightmare of German infantry was surely the Il-2 Shturmovik. Not to diminish the A-10, but a list of "lethal aircraft" that has an A-10 instead of a Shturmovik suggests a peculiarly American historical myopia.

Kevin,

You know , I didn't want to say anything, but since you brought it up, this was the first aircraft to go through my head when I first read this thread.

These kind of "Best of, Worst Of, Most Lethal" get kind of silly at times. Just what parameters are to be used? Like any polling question, it depends on just how the question is asked or the particulars behind it.
Lancaster perhaps!?! The firestorms in many of the German cities killed more than the atomic blasts. Of course, the firestorms in Japan did the same thing on an even bigger scale!
I think "most lethal" to aircrew might be an interesting vote! But then you have prototypes skewing the numbers. If they only built one and it kills the pilot you have 100%.
