N3N-3 Jeff,
The coolest thing about moving is we are storing a bunch of stuff that didn't need to be laying about the hangar.

I see it as an opportunity to class up our act, and that ain't bad.
We have also done a good job of organizing some "like" stuff that hadn't been done in years.

David, Bill Steffel and myself had black sealant up to our elbows Sat. eve. putting on the nose cone, but WOW!
IT makes it look like a bomber again.
Sorta makes my leg all tingly like that doofus newscaster said about some doofus politician! :D

Cool, I wish you guys the best of luck!!!! PS. did you guys ever get your N back in the air???? I am sure you have not had much time but I will relay the info over to the N site if it is. We could use a pick me up, no fatalities but we have had 3 N3N incidents this year, one sounding possibly a write off.

Hey Don! Nothing like mixing up a little "pooky" for sealing your plexiglas panels and/or nosecone. Gets everywhere, except where you really want it    Anyway, waiting on the upcoming press conference and really are wishing the best for TR and the wing! However, warbirds don't seem to be in favor with some airport committee's and such lately... Hard to compete with the high dollars thrown around with some of the corporate aviation companies. Steph, Butch, and I will be down in a couple of weeks to work on TR..... Praying you guys have a new hanger in which to work. Alan

Hello WIX fans in the Houston area.
I will be on the local FOX affiliate CH 26 Thurs. AM sometime between 0700-0900 to explain the situation and then...
Off to the Hobby Hangar for a 10 AM press conference with ALL the TV outlets and Steve Brown asking the powers that be at Hobby to shake loose with some hangar space for a bomber in need!

Due to various rules and regulations from both the City of Houston Airport System and Corporations that have space a lot of people don't know we are fully insured and that we are great about paying our rent.

The offers we have at the moment are "less than optimal" for the good of the B17 and the good of the airframe comes first.

I will explain in greater detail AFTER the Press Conference so "stay tuned"...

Good luck with the interviews man. Just remember- use as many 5-second answers as possible so they can't edit you too much. :)

This is one of the reasons I really like Steve too. He is not afraid to jump into a problem where needed and make sure that the word gets out about problems that need to be in the public eye.

Great interview, I wish you all luck in SHAMING the city or some corporation into some compromise there! I was wondering if one of those temporary inflatable AF Hangars would work? Then again, it is Hurricane Alley there!

Hmmm...I can't seem to get the video to run. Must be a bunch of WIXer's jamming up the works.

I wish you guys all the best.

Hope everything works out.

Thanks for the kind reviews...
I have a cold, I didn't sleep worth a darned last night and the interview was at 0730 this morning and I work nights.... It is amazing it came off as well as it did.

I just fact checked myself and it turns out there were 12,800 or more B17s built...

The 10 O'clock press conference went well at the hangar.
WE had all three "majors" and they asked good questions.
I hope we answered them well.
AND I DID remember to state that the B17 was used in all fronts from Pearl Harbor to North Afrika and not just England.

Now the important part... The conference has generated some offers, but until the deal is in ink I can't go into details other than...
I AM CONFIDENT THE WINGS WILL STAY ON FOR AWHILE LONGER!

Special Gulf Coast Wing ->Thanks<- go out to Steve Brown for coming down and presenting to the media.
