I’ve been asked if I can track down a 100 degree dimpling set for metric standard rivets. I believe the American standard is 110 degree (please correct me if I’m wrong). We need a dimpling set and also a supply of countersunk 100 degree rivets as well. Anyone have any ideas?

We can't countersink the skins as they're only 0.6mm in places!

Agreed. American is 100 degrees.

Though, the good old B-29's used 82 degree on thicker structure, and 100 degree on thinner structure, the thinner structure being dimpled.

Eventually they got away from the whole 82 degree countersink, as it usually knife edges the top layer.

Interesting the B-29 lower outboard wing panels have 82 degree up to a point starting with the most inboard, then for the last skin panel (thinnest and most outboard) they switch to 100 degree and dimpled.

Our research into the same subject lead to many dead ends, so we made our own had them heat treated and polished. We were also looking for a company to supply us with C/S metric rivets in quantity this to lead to many dead ends also. We needed DIN standard but either our quantity was not enough or it was to much.
