Iam a lurker 99% of the time, but this proposal is a grave threat to the Warbirds such as B-25's, B-17's and other types as well. To think that the security of the United States will be improved becasue we would allow this law to go into effect is crazy.
This would effect any aircraft under the guidelines that are printed up to have to go thru useless red tape, and it would affect those aircraft tht are privately owned as well those that are owned by museums. The museums that are offering rides in these historic aircraft would be threatmened as well as the person who owns a B-25 for instance who wants to take either family or freinds along.
I urge everyone who has an interest in Warbirds to make public comments on the proposal you have until December 29th, 2008 to do so. The following steps are what you need to do it is not difficult if I can do it anyone can so here are the following steps to take.

1. visit TSA.gov/assets/pdf/nprm_lasp.pdf for details
2. for public comments begin with www.regulations.gov
3. will bring a page up put in TSA-2008-0021 goes in the block where it says go and enter
4. Another page comes up on left side says Public Submission click on it
5. Another page comes up will say send a comment or submission click on it.
6. The next page will be public comments fill in the info under submitter information put your comments in click next which will bring up the last page.
7. This is the final step at the bottom of this page you can print out what you said for your records if you wish and then submit and your done.

Once again I hope that a lot of you folks that are on WIX a lot as well as the lurkers comment on this government foul up.

Ed,

I'm glad that you decided to post on this issue, but was it necessary to start a new thread with 2 other threads already going on this issue?

MMMMMM....Dontcha love that warm fuzzy feeling after "thrashing a newbie senseless"?
Makes your bad day all better don't it? Maybe he missed a few days and missed those
3 TSA threads.

Ed, if you miss a few days and come across a hot topic you feel the folks here might benefit from, you might try using the search feature. Type in TSA or whatever and off you go..saves digging thru 3 or 4 backpages! Post away Amigo! :D

I wasn't trashing him, just pointing him to the other threads. BTW, if he's been lurking here for a while, then I don't think he qualifies as a "newbie" anyway.

Thanks for reading more into the message than was there....
