Just wanted to give everybody a heads up on the P-38. It is going to Nellis and the Pensicola airshows. I am glad somebody else will be able to enjoy it. We enjoyed building and flying in it.

Any chance it'll be at Duxford next year? If it will, we'll definitely be there.

good ole white lightnin at RENO one last time, especially if we could get a couple of others like glacier girl in the fray. A few passes around the pylons would indeed be a nice thing to see for all the fans and perhaps for Lefty as well. by the way I worked with that plane for years and have a bunch of old slides taken of it from all over the place not just reno if you are interested

Saw a short story in the Pensacola News Journal that the Red Bull P-38 canceled due to engine failure. Whats up with that?

Well not a "failure" thank goodness

But a leak developed coming back from Vegas that will require removal of the right engine for the work to be performed. The reason for cancelling was due to weather here and enroute, plus the leak.
