Man- that is one interesting landing. Having seen other airshow performers fly sideways hanging off their prop, I can see what he did, but you gotta see it to believe it!

I've watched it several times. Is it real??? or computer generated?

Fake.

Notice how the aircraft rolls THE WRONG WAY when it sheds a wing.

Doh!

It fooled me at first - but fake for sure.

Laughable at best. Man, people have twisted their minds with CGI over the years. This is no where even close to being real. Somebody spent alot of time putting the composite images together though (combo of footage and dubbed CGI). I like how they intentionally blurred key transitions to make them easier to pull off.

It's part of a "viral" promotional campaign for a German Apparel company.

It is based on a somewhat real event though. Although it was a scale model radio controlled plane. I've seen a video of a guy with a large scale extra or something pull this off. He lost a wing, hit the throttle, let it hang by the prop and landed it in one piece :D

It really had me -and several of my A&P colleagues- fooled at first. The second time we watched it, we started to suspect it... They really did a good job, and quite believable. I could see one of the really good stunt pilots- one of the guys who hangs it on the prop & flies sideways down the runway- accomplishing it, given the altitude to make the transition, as it appeared to have had...

Looks pretty realistic until the landing. Then it's totally obvious it's CGI.

The RC video is much more impressive!
